My beautiful little F is such a good girl. I can’t believe how lucky I am especially after hearing the stories from my friends and reading about other babies her age on-line. I know I shouldn’t associate being a “good baby” with how she sleeps, but she’s a “good baby” in numerous other ways in addition to being a good sleeper. She turned 6 months yesterday and this is her schedule:
5:30 a.m. – awake for the day
6:00 a.m. – Bottle 1 (about 7 ounces and some baby food)
9:00/9:30 a.m. – Nap 1 (1 hour or 1.5 hours)
10:30 – Bottle 2 (about 7 ounces)
2:00/2:30 – Bottle 3 (about 7 ounces)
2:30 – Nap 2 (1 hour or 1.5 hours)
6:00/6:30 – Bottle 4 (about 7 ounces and some baby food)
7:30 – bedtime
I have 5 days off in a row during President’s day so I would love to shift her entire schedule to be later so that her bedtime is 8pm and she wakes at 6am – that would be perfect. I hear that some babies sleep 11, 12 and 13 hours straight a night, but Dr. Ferber says that is the case if naps are short. Since little F always has good naps, 10 hours a night is exactly where she should be – not too much, not too little.
The next thing I have to obsess about is how to space out her bottle with her solid food.
